Steamtown Heritage Rail Centre’s unique Diesel shed was built in the early 1960’s and is available for hire for railways-themed corporate and to host private functions. The venue allows a maximum seating capacity of around 90. The backdrop is the magnificent classic 1912 built T-class locomotive T199. Tables and decorations etc. are available and can be arranged through the Steamtown Heritage Rail Centre.

Inside the Steamtown Heritage Rail Centre’s Reception area you will find a conference room equipped with telephone conference call facilities. This room is also ideal for any coach groups wishing to have a light lunch. Options of coffee/tea for morning or afternoon tea are available. Together with the Reception/Café-Bar these two rooms can cater for up to 45 people. Please contact the Staff at SHRC for lunch options and prices.

The Theatrette is also available for hire. It has a seating capacity of at least 60 people and includes a data projector and a state of the art sound system.
